Site Rebirth
The site has been reborn in a slightly more spiffy skin.
I plan on making it look even better in the near future if things don't come up. The old site has been
done away with, and if were all lucky will never been seen again, unless I use it while I update the
current site. I'd like to make it a fully functional site, and I may buy a .com soon just so that its
more like my own site and not a part of krystal rose. I may end up doing it quite soon, if I get the
chance and a few more $$$'s saved. I think I might actually be able to pay a little more attention to
the site this time, and also, I wont be DEPENDING on anyone, though I may ask for other peoples
opinions from time to time. I'm fairly Happy with this new design, and hope whoever happens to stumble
upon it likes it too.
What this site will contain
This site will hold my
critique, and opinions on new and upcoming games, books, movies, music, etc. I may also add a Gallary Section once I
get my final landed site. If I ever get around to the online comic I hope to do, this site (or any of
the ones preceding it) will either be linked from it, or shut down, I havent decided yet. As for what
else I plan to do with this, I still havent decided. Some of my friends have expressed an interest in a
videogame podcast being hosted here, but I may or may not take them up on that. I'll look for a general interest before
doing that. Enjoy the new site until I get around to a webpage of my own.
New games and the return of old ones in Shiny new packages
A wave of games is upon us. With quality better than all that came
before in almost every perspective, they prepare to suck our wallets and bank accounts dry before they
even hit the shelves. Crysis looks astounding to say the least. The graphics are of a quality I have
never seen in a computer game before. The game play is also unique to me. The guns ability to change
the character and also to modify itself to fit whatever situation the player requires. No break points,
everything is interactive, and there's almost no way to play the exact same game twice. Then there are
games like The Witcher. A new RPG with awesome graphics and spectacular ideas behind it prepares to
slash through our world of reality and beat the shit out of some strange mutated creatures. While the trailer plays upon entering the site, stage6 has a "movie cinima" quality trailer, which can be viewed in fullscreen and downloaded here.
Another facinating thing is games originally for Console only are now being introduced to the computer as well.
Everyone knew Halo 2 was coming out for vista, and I'm not sure anyone cared, but it opens the possibility for
others to come over as well (CBFD would be a wonderful addition to that list of crossovers, and you may deduce what game "CBFD"
that is for your self). Spore is another good-looking game coming out for PC. The game looks funny to
some extent for the comical graphics, but it also looks incredibly fun and addictive. Who knows how
much study time will be lost to the game with the excuse that biology/history/evolution homework is
being done. Bioshock. I'm not sure I can explain this without a visual aid. The game looks completely
awesome! Game play, graphics, storyline, weapons, horror. It's the total package, and multiple
platform release, Xbox and PC (possibly others as well). Even the trailer has some of, what I expect for
this game, to be light gore, when a robot attacks a man and puts a heavy drill through his hand (all
shown on screen). This game looks amazing to say the least. There are a bunch of high quality videos
at Stage6*, just search bioshock. Starcraft II brings back memories of my first time gaming. It was one
of the first to turn me into a gamer. Now blizzard brings it back to us with spiffy new graphics, great
new game play, new units, and new scenarios. I love Starcraft, and I can't wait for Starcraft II. However,
as much as I cant wait, and as much as I love Starcraft game, I doubt that I will ever love this game as much
as the Koreans. If you haven't heard how much the Koreans love Starcraft, you obviously live in a world where Starcraft was never an obsession.
I'll let CtrlAltDel do it for me since it's already summed up very nicely for me.
Again, the trailer plays on the main site, but stage6 has a HD quality trailer that goes fullscreen.
*Stage6.com vs. YouTube
Fuck You Tube! Sure, it may have a much larger selection,
higher popularity, more users, etc. That's all fine and dandy, but for those of us, who care about video
quality, we need to go to stage6 dammit! They have movie trailers, music videos, and more. What I
haven't seen yet are idiots being stupid, which is You Tubes Specialty. It's all about "broadcast your
self" at You Tube. Fuck that! At Stage6 the videos are higher quality, (they have to be divx I believe),
you can go full screen without loss of quality, and there's TV shows aplenty there. South Park, Futurama,
Simpsons, Invader Zim, Friends, the list goes on. It's also much better for watching new game trailers,
which have much better graphics than they used to. If I wanna watch a game trailer, I don't wanna see
crappy video graphics, I want clear, possibly HD, full screen graphics. Not only are they better quality
at Stage6, but also they're downloadable! I've been downloading game trailers and Family Guy for viewing
during class (ahem…) and such. I could easily find them on You Tube, yes, but I haven't figured out how
to download from You Tube (if its possible) and the quality is so much better at Stage6, I wouldn't even
consider downloading them at You Tube even if I could. Its like…a 3 year olds drawing compared to Leonardo
DaVinci. Ok, some might like the kids drawing better, but personally I think DaVinci has better work
than any 3 year olds work I'VE ever seen. If someone asked me what I think, "who's better, DaVinci, or my
little kid" I doubt I would say "fuck your kid" but they would defiantly get a "are you stupid?" look.
You Tube? More like N00b Tube.
Real men read Harry Potter!
Possible Spoiler Warning
On another note, the Harry Potter book was well done. I couldn't stand the last chapter or the epilogue,
but for those of you who haven't finished it, bought it, whatever, Ill discuss it at a later time. All
I'll say is that around midnight Saturday the 21 I was considerably upset with the ending and considered
cutting it out of my book, leaving it where…. oh wait, I said I wouldn't tell <|:3. (No, that's not a
witch hat!) Ah well, Enjoy the new site and its many links to the left there. Headphone Ninja out.
