Heheh, sorry, hope I haven't got that stupid song stuck
in your head, now!
Flying is one of the very first things we try to teach ourselves when
we try to learn
lucid dreaming, but it also occurs naturally in dreams someimes.
Flying in dreams is the wish to escape the ties that bind us here on
earth. Sometimes this is a wish for spiritual enlightenment, and
sometimes it's merely a wish to escape daily drudgery or
responsibilities.
How you do your flying can tell you a lot. If you bound and skip, but
never lose sight of the ground, you are able to enjoy moments of levity
and self-pampering without abandoning your responsibilities. If,
however, you get lost in the clouds or are unable to land, this means
that you are having a hard time reconciling your legitimate right to want
your dreams to come true, with the realities of daily life.
Some advice from Thoreau:
If you have built your castles in the air,
your work need not be
lost.
That is where they should be
Now, put the foundations under
them.
